I'm nineteen and I live in Washington state. I have five cats and two dogs. I love taking pictures and I really want to go to the Art Institute of Seattle for photography. I go to far too many Goodnight Sunrise shows, but that's okay because we're friends. I don't see my friends very often. We mostly text each other.

Fuckyeahchubbygirls, fuckyeahskinnygirls, it doesn’t matter which. They both make me a little bit uneasy. Why do people categorize themselves and then feel the need to defend their section? Fuckyeahgirls, maybe I could get behind that. Fuckyeahlovingyourbody. Fuckyeahpeople. The sentiments behind chubbygirls are wonderful and I love when people love themselves, but that’s just it. I love people. I really appreciate the human body, as a person and as an artist. That’s why I post so many pictures of people. I love them. But why do I have to be chubby? Or why do I have to be skinny? Why do I have to pick something and then defend it like it defines me? My body doesn’t define my whole being just like I don’t define anyone else by their bodies. I love my body, flaws and all, and I really wouldn’t change it. Yes, BMI says I’m overweight. Yes, sometimes I can’t fit into the clothes sold in the stores that I would like to shop at. But I am a real girl with a real girl shape. I’m strong and if I were any skinnier I would lose that strength. I can throw my sister over my shoulder and carry her around. I gave one of my best friends, who is a guy, a piggyback ride down a few city blocks the other day. I could pick up my ex-boyfriend with no difficulty. I love that I can do these things. I have big arms. You want to know why? I used to be a cheerleader. I would throw other people in the air and catch them. I can lift more weight with my legs than some of the men that I see at my gym. Check out some of the pictures above. My thighs touch. And I don’t care. I love it.

Love yourself, babies. You’ll be so much happier once you realize that your body will do what it wants to do and you can’t force yourself to not have curves if you have them. You can’t force yourself to be a size zero if you just aren’t. Stick straight waist, curvaceous bodies, size two, size twenty two. Doesn’t matter. You are so fucking beautiful. Especially when you see it too.

<3 Alisha.

5’8”, 165 pounds, size 8-12. But that doesn’t mean shit. :)

I love you.

Noah & the Whale-Blue Skies

This is a song for anyone with a broken heart
This is a song for anyone who can’t get out of bed
I’ll do anything to be happy
Oh, ‘cos blue skies are coming
But I know that it’s hard

This is the last song that I write while still in love with you
This is the last song that I write while you’re even on my mind
‘Cos it’s time to leave those feelings behind

Oh, ‘cos blue skies are coming
But I know that it’s hard

I don’t think that it’s the end
But I know we can’t keep going
I don’t think that it’s the end
But I know we can’t keep going

But blue skies are coming
Oh yeah, blue skies are coming
Oh well, blue skies are coming
But I know that it’s hard
